Congratulations! We are delighted that you are considering celebrating your special day with us. Westbrook Winery is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most iconic wineries. It is a unique, privately-owned property, set in picturesque grounds in the beautiful Ararimu Valley, just 35kms from downtown Auckland. This region has a lot to offer, with easy access to stunning West Coast beaches, forest and bush walks and private accommodation options. Spend your special day with us or make the most of having your loved ones all in the same place by hosting the ultimate ‘destination wedding weekend’.

There are two popular options for ceremonies, the petanque court and alongside the pond, where there is a permanent wooden wedding arch in place. There are many beautiful locations to have photos taken, both around the vineyard and across the road in the forestry, as well as at the nearby west coast black sand Muriwai beach, before celebrating with family and friends. Our covered patio is located right to the Cellar Door and is suitable for groups of up to 75 guests (depending on the style of catering and floor plan). The Cellar Door serves our full range of wine and beer and packages or a bar tab can be pre-arranged to suit most budgets. For larger groups, there is lots of space and easy access in the vineyard for a marquee (hired) with a pop-up bar (beverage packages only).

We offer a lovely range of Westbrook wines as well as craft beer, cider and non-alcohol beverages available and can help you create a wine and drinks list to suit your budget (minimum spend applies). We work with a select handful of wonderful catering companies and other local wedding and event suppliers from photographers and florists to musicians, marquee and furniture/theming companies.

The Cellar Door is open to the public daily from 11am to 5pm. Exclusive use of the grounds is available from 5pm. Marquees and other suppliers can start setting up outside during the day but there is no access to the patio until 5pm. Guests can arrive earlier by prior arrangement.

All catering is outsourced. Minimum beverage spends apply. If no wine/alcohol is to be purchased, Westbrook can still provide a range of non-alcoholic beverages, and an additional charge per person may apply depending on the number of guests and duration of the event. The venue fee includes a duty manager and bartender/wait-staff. Additional staff may be required for large groups and/or table service. Ceremony-only options are also available.
