Visit Us

Set in twenty acres of picturesque park-like grounds, the Cellar Door looks down over tree-covered grassy terraces and across a pretty brook-fed lily pond to row after row of vines. Visitors are invited to experience a guided wine-tasting with our friendly and knowledgeable team.

Stay on for a glass of wine and a delicious wine-matched Westbrook platter and relax in our beautiful, peaceful vineyard or play a game of giant chess or petanque.

Please DO NOT bring your own drinks or food/pincics onto our property.

We are OPEN seven days a week from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm.

215 Ararimu Valley Road, Waimauku, Auckland.

  • ANZAC Day - open 1.00 pm-5.00 pm
  • Easter Sunday open 11.00 am - 5.00 pm (wine may only be purchased to drink on site if you purchase a meal off us.)
  • CLOSED - Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.

With so much uncertainty going on around us regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we thought we would update you all on some of the precautions we have been undertaking to ensure the cleanliness, safety and health of our staff and visitors.

We are following the governments and Ministry of Health's Advice. Our cleaners have undergone extra training to ensure vigilance with regard to adhering to the safest cleaning protocols. Our Cellar Door staff have been given extra training in how to keep themselves and the people we serve safe though a variety of recommended methods. We ask that you our guests, do not visit us if you are feeling at all unwell.

At this stage we will remain open 7 days 11am to 5pm. We have large open areas inside and outside where people can come and sit and enjoy their own space. All Tastings are hosted outside on our covered patio at individual tables or upstairs above the Cellar Door in our Mezzanine Tasting Room. We recommend bookings so that we can best prepare and serve you.

If you want to call ahead we can even make you a take home platter that you can collect and enjoy with a tasty Westbrook wine of course.

Visitor Reviews

Went to a few wineries close to riverhead/kumeu, this is the best one so far! But this greeting you on the doorstep explains everything, you literally feel like home! Great wines too! Highly recommend!

Gorgeous location. Serene and restful surroundings. Super friendly staff. And the Crackling Rose is spectacular.

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will visit again!

Delicious wine tasting and fun, knowledgeable host. Unpretentious and it's great to see the local businesses promoting each other. Looking forward to returning.

Outstanding wines. Outstanding location. We took a wine tour that had selected North Island wineries near Auckland. We particularly enjoyed this stop. Award winning wines in a beautiful setting. They were knowledgeable and served beautiful wines.
